After a teenaged boy is killed, a small high school is left in distress, all except for his boyfriend Micah, who appears emotionally unscathed. When the murderer continues to strike Micah's closest male friends, his low sense of worth warps his perception of the killer's intent, nurturing his self pity and alienating himself from his circle. While juggling day-to-day adolescent anxiety with a rising body count, Micah has to decide which road to take, debating pleas from his friends to climb back down to Earth, or seeking the psychopath out on his own terms.
